Waitaki District Council

Corriedale Ward
The Waitaki District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of ten councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). two councillors will be elected from the Corriedale ward. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions.

    Promote council grants to land owners and community groups to establish more indigenous biodiversity on public or private land.

    Support more pipe renewals to prevent loss of sewage from the wastewater network and consider more land farming.
