The Wellington City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 15 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the city). three councillors will be elected from the Takapū/Northern ward. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper.     Save Khandallah Pool, the Begonia House, Karori Event Centre and Brooklyn Library.

    Progress the facilities management plan, including developing the business case for a new indoor recreation centre in north Wellington City.

    Review community centres in Tawa and Churton Park to make them adequate for the future, as both have grown significantly.

    Ensure that the Begonia House, Khandallah Pool and Karori Events Centre are upgraded and maintain operational.

    Increase the size of the Churton Park Community Centre, progress the Tawa anchor project and confirm the Johnsonville indoor sports arena.

    Commit to fair liquor licensing that cuts harm, supports hospitality and builds a safer, stronger Wellington.

    Protect public access to coasts, reserves and Crown land so communities can enjoy them.
