Why I'm standing

I am running to make sure the coming rates reforms are ratepayer driven and not government decrees.

About me

I have spent most of my adult life engaged in political action and community activism. I believe now is the time to use that experience in a formal political forum.

My priorities
  1. Reform rates now. We need to stop pretending that we can do a job with half the funds.
  2. Increase transparency so people see where the money is going, where the shortfalls are and why.
  3. Support localism by ensuring the best qualified people to run Whakatāne live here, not in Wellington.
