Maungakiekie electorate

Maungakiekie covers many of Auckland’s suburbs around the Southern Motorway, including One Tree Hill, Ellerslie, and Panmure. It is held by National’s Greg Fleming, who first won election in 2023 with a margin of 16,952. National also won the party vote with 41%, followed by Labour with 27%. The electorate is diverse, boasting both a higher Asian population than the New Zealand average, and a higher number of individuals aged between 20-44 than the national average.

Why I'm standing

I believe in the vision that the Green Party has for Aotearoa and I want to support the kaupapa. I believe that we can all thrive, while acknowledging and uplifting the humanity and dignity of all of us. I want to make sure that all voices in Maungakiekie will be heard in the halls of Parliament.

About me

I've lived in Maungakiekie for about half my life and have taught some ākonga living in the area for most of my professional career. I have created connections as a kaiako and bring a listening ear to listen to concerns of our area. Party Vote Green!

My priorities

  1. Advocate for a fairer tax system to ease the cost of living.
  2. Make our local waterways swimmable and our water drinkable.
  3. Ease the cost of living by investing in power infrastructure.
