Maungakiekie electorate

Maungakiekie covers many of Auckland’s suburbs around the Southern Motorway, including One Tree Hill, Ellerslie, and Panmure. It is held by National’s Greg Fleming, who first won election in 2023 with a margin of 16,952. National also won the party vote with 41%, followed by Labour with 27%. The electorate is diverse, boasting both a higher Asian population than the New Zealand average, and a higher number of individuals aged between 20-44 than the national average.

  2. Ensure that the needs of the people in Maungakiekie are represented equitably in Parliament.
  3. Be a voice of reason for the people when projects like the East-West Corridor are negotiated.
