Rangitīkei electorate
Rangitīkei covers much of the central western North Island, stretching from Levin in the south up to Feilding, Marton, and Taihape in the North. The seat is currently held by National’s Suze Redmayne, who was first elected in 2023 with a margin of 18,945. National won the party vote in 2023 with 41%, followed by Labour on 22%. The seat was held by Social Credit party leader Bruce Beetham between 1978 and 1984, which was the only time in the Labour-National era a minor party got into parliament until the introduction of MMP in 1996.

Why I'm standing
I believe there is enough wealth in Aotearoa for everyone to lead a good life. But everyone needs to pay their fair share. We need to look after the forests, soil, air and water to sustain us and future generations. We need to honour Te Tiriti and ensure that power and wealth sit with our communities. For all of us.
About me
My focus is on the Green's party vote. I ran my own financial planning business and have a strong interest in politics and economics. Social justice has always been important to me. Touring NZ for a year on motorcycles, Lynne and I witnessed the horrifying degradation of our taiao, entrenched poverty and the concentration of wealth. This experience strongly informs my political commitment.
My priorities
