Why I'm standing

I've a real passion for the Bay of Plenty. I understand the challenges it faces and want to help make wise decisions for its future. The speed and pace of change coming from government will require proven experience, skill and knowledge to navigate the change. I have that and believe I can help to get the best outcomes for our communities.

About me

I am hard-working and conscientious, value honesty and integrity, and am people focused. I have a strong management and governance background, understand local government, and I have a proven fifteen year track record as a very experienced and effective councillor.

My priorities
  1. Improve our natural environment – especially freshwater quality and quantity, and biodiversity.
  2. Lead climate change action and engage with our communities so they can understand how they can help.
  3. Make the regional council as good as it can be – doing the right things effectively and well.
