Mayor of Christchurch
The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the city and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. The 2011 earthquake put screen industry back 20 years. Plus my concern on high elderly and disabled population.
About me
I have event project management skills needed for this stage of city rebuild.
My priorities
- A Strategy to make Christchurch more child friendly, for families, tourism, screen industry.
- To help keep rates down to fun raise the shortfall in the budget for Te Kaha Multi Arena.
- To enhance peoples lives by better engagement and help them take ownership of community events.
