Riccarton Ward

The Christchurch City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 16 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the city). One councillor will be elected from the Riccarton ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I am here representing everyday people as I am not political party affiliated, to get the council back their core duties.

About me

As I am a systems engineer I think logically and think beyond the short term, looking ahead to how things will be effected

My priorities

Be accountable and listen to the people and not pick and choose submissions but what the people need.
Lack of consultation for the rate payers on water and have their feedback consulted is a big concern.
To have lower rates, by cutting out excess spending and better budgeting.
