Why I'm standing

The sense of urgency that my generation feels about the climate crisis is not currently represented at the decision making table, and so I want to make sure that that voice is being heard.

About me

I am 23 and who better to represent the youth voice than someone young. I am empathetic and understand that we need to listen to all perspectives to come up with solutions that work for all individuals and not just a few. However, I will bring a sense of urgency as there needs to be change in order for future generations to inherit a flourishing environment.

My priorities
  1. Prioritising good environmental outcomes when re-writing the Land and Water Regional Plan, Coastal Plan and the Regional Policy Statement.
  2. Education on what the council does and its responsibilities, in order to keep the community engaged.
  3. Putting people at the centre of decision making.
