Why I'm standing

I want to work with like-minded people in order to create the republic of Auckland. We will do this by forming the biggest infrastructure company in New Zealand. This will be owned by the ratepayer with no profits going to overseas and Australian multinationals. It will guarantee continuity of employment for workers paid a liveable wage and more, with in-house training. This will have an approximate savings of at least forty percent.

About me

I am committed environmentalist. I am tenacious and eager to keep pace with new developments. I am custodian of the Ramarama Hall and currently negotiating with Waka Kotahi the future of the hall. I am passionate about the high-quality soils that are being covered in concrete and houses. I have lived in the Franklin area for nearly forty years and my wife teaches in the area and children enjoyed growing up here.

My priorities
  1. Increase efficiency by making the council one big ratepayer-owned firm returning profit to us.
  2. Eradicating tobacco weed and pests from our reserves and roadsides with the forming of a green corps.
  3. Preserving our volcanic cropping land stopping further subdivision on this irreplaceable asset.
