The Franklin Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of nine members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. Four members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I am shocked at the amount of wasteful spending by our current council. There is a massive bureaucracy that needs to be downsized.

About me

I've had wide experience running small to large businesses and know how to stay focused on what needs to be done to get results. My sports career has reinforced the importance of identifying what is a priority and what is a waste of time or money. I want to help refocus this council on spending your money wisely. We can't afford the waste to continue.

My priorities

Every spending item will be scrutinised. Spending your money is something I will take seriously.
Cut the wasteful spending. We cannot burden our community with more taxes and rates increases.
It's vital to reduce the massive debt that's been run up by previous irresponsible spending.
