Why I'm standing

I read a lot of the negative comments online about the council and standing for council. There seemed to be a lot of frustration from the community stating they're never heard. So I said why not me? If you keep doing the same thing, then things stay the same. I want to be an advocate for individuals, and community groups of all types. Social media needs to be used more to inform the people.

About me

My whole career has been customer service. I want to be the representative that is approachable by any individual or group. Just an email away from listening to you, the people. I'll make time to listen and understand the concerns or ideas of others. I'm Lyn from Tawa ready to serve the people.

My priorities
  1. Halt extension of the Spicer landfill. Get a sludge minimization facility set up to stop subsidence.
  2. Start replacing old degraded pipes with seismic resilient pipes that have a life span of 100 years.
  3. Commit to introducing more recycling initiatives like composting and green waste bins.
