Why I'm standing

I am standing because of my deep concern for our waterways, Te Awarua-o-Porirua (Porirua Harbour) and continuing biodiversity loss. Climate change impacts are being felt regionally with increasing storm events and flooding and we need to help our communities to be better prepared to avoid these impacts. I am passionate about reducing our emissions and our impacts on the environment and I want to make a positive change for our region.

About me

My career has spanned local and central government and non-government organisations. I believe in being a public servant by serving our communities. Having working in regional council I know how they work. I have worked supporting community groups around the region and have a good knowledge of not only Porirua and Tawa but the whole region. I am a hard worker and am persistent, so I believe I can get things done.

My priorities
  1. Cleaning up our waterways and harbour by implementing the Te Awarua-o- Porirua Whaitua plan.
  2. Increasing the use of low emission public transport by ensuring it meets the public's needs.
  3. Protecting and enhancing nature by managing pest animals and pest plants in our biodiversity sites.
