Why I'm standing

The small West Coast communities of Grey District's Northern Ward are wonderful places to live, work and play. Strong representation and good communication between our communities and our council is vital for dealing with the challenges that lie ahead. Improving relationships between council and residents is something I'm passionate about and believe I can contribute to.

About me

I am passionate about community wellbeing and connectedness, and believe that strengthening communities is the solution to many of the challenges we face. I have a strong history of participation and advocacy across many different sectors, eg human rights, mental health, community housing, urban search and rescue, water management, ecology and community radio. I am a registered nurse by training, I have run my own tourism business, and have experience in governance.

My priorities
  1. Support community wellbeing through active council representation of all Northern Ward communities.
  2. Ensure council responds in a timely manner to service requests or communicate delays.
  3. Work to improve relationships between residents and council, especially in Northern Ward.
