Why I'm standing

With proposed government reform on the horizon, I believe now more than ever the community needs an experienced and strong voice representing them. The direction our city is heading, focusing on getting the basics right, investing in people and all the infrastructure needed for our growing city will help prepare us and the city for future generations.

About me

Prior to being elected in 2013, I was self employed in sales and hospitality for 20 plus years. Petone is home for my family, along with being an active member in Petone Rotary and rugby and working with many other community organisations over these past 40 years. I bring experience, local knowledge and valued and trusted relationships from being a part of this community.

My priorities
  1. Invest in planning and building for climate resilience and adaptive planning with our community.
  2. Complete the business case for cross valley connections - build resilience - provide transport options.
  3. Introduce kerbside food waste collection to help city with 2050 carbon emissions goal.
