Why I'm standing

I am putting myself forward for council as I believe the town needs more local amenities for winter usage, eg indoor centre with climbing walls, kids games. Diversify what our tourists can do on a rainy day to keep their families in Kaikōura not to move on to another town.

About me

I was born in Kaikōura, apart from 13 years in Christchurch I have lived in Kaikōura. I have been a manager of several different retail stores and a business owner. I have also been a farmer. All very different job descriptions where I have gained business skills, problem-solving techniques and generally learnt to ask the hard questions.

My priorities
  1. Ask the voters to vote for myself for the council.
  2. Ensure that we can repay debt without the rates being increased.
  3. Discover what the local residents want the council to repair, replace or build for Kaikōura.
