Malvern Community Board

Hawkins Subdivision
The Malvern Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Selwyn District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members: five members elected by voters, including two members from your area, and one councillor from the Selwyn District council. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Malvern Community Board election.

Environment

Local governments play a central role in protecting the environment, reducing waste and safeguarding biodiversity. The worsening state of New Zealand’s lakes and rivers is a major challenge for local councils, which work with regional councils in the management of water resources in their area.

  • This Government's 'Three Waters Policy' reeks of Stalin or Hitler. One small unfortunate problem is everyone's fault. Out with the policy!

Things done in the past for reasons that seemed valid, must, today, be reversed. Rabbits, stoats, wallabies, etc need to be eradicated.

Waste minimisation is a must is this throw-away society.
