Why I'm standing

I'm standing for mayor in 2022 to bring stability to Manawatū District Council. I'm committed to smart and sustainable financial decisions to relieve the burden on our community. I want Manawatū to be the safest district in New Zealand and I want to achieve quality of life for everyone living in Manawatū. I believe that a change at the top is needed and I look forward to being your new mayor.

About me

I have spent the past nine years as a councillor listening to our residents, learning about the issues facing our community, and advocating for the things that matter. I've committed my adult life to serving this community through my work and as a volunteer, because I believe prosperity comes from hard work and personal commitment. I have proven governance experience combined with quality leadership. I am a leader that listens and acts.

My priorities
  1. There are a number of priorities and the first is storm water.
  2. Finish community halls and meeting spaces.
  3. Engage a full rates review, that takes its time to find the best solution to revenue generation.
