Masterton District Council

Masterton District At Large
The Masterton District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of eight councillors and the mayor. This election is for the three councillors elected by all voters in the district. The other councillors will be elected to represent wards (areas in the district). This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Masterton District Council election.

Why I'm standing

I want to make Masterton a better place to live. I'm tired of hearing that Masterton is a boring place to live and I want to change that. I don't want to be a product of my environment, I want my environment to be a product of me.

About me

I'm currently employed at McDonald's Masterton as a profit manager which means I have a limited budget to pick and choose which product we need based off data. I believe this skill will make me an effective member of Masterton District Council.

My priorities
  1. Work to ensure that the Three Waters tranches are spent on the right projects that are needed.
  2. Work to make sure that rates are at a reasonable level.
  3. Commit to working out how to extend hours for local pubs to revitalise the local nightlife.
