Mayor of Masterton

The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. Why I'm standing

Masterton is a great place to live, but right now there is a huge gulf between council and community and that needs to be addressed.

About me

I have strong values, proven leadership skills and, most of all, the experience of four terms on council.

My priorities
  1. Enhancement of our water infrastructure to the point where health and safety is no longer a concern.
  2. Enhancement of our roading particularly in the rural areas.
  3. Build a much better working relationship between council and community.
