Why I'm standing

I'm a proud Onehunga resident and believe that Maungakiekie's diverse communities have the power to continue to make this the best area in Auckland. Through listening and engaging with you, I'll make sure your voice is represented when decisions are being made about your area. The people here have the knowledge – it's time to share that so that we can live and grow in a safe, sustainable area.

About me

In the nine years I've lived and worked in Onehunga I've had two kids, cofounded The Period Place and got period products into schools and vulnerable communities nationwide. Through my work with local communities including iwi, unions, migrant, refugee and faith-based whānau I've learned what matters to people in our communities. I'll use the power of local government to create jobs and businesses that promote social and environmental impact with social procurement to support them.

My priorities
  1. Build thriving communities with a sense of place and self-reliance and reduced inequality.
  2. Prioritise public transport from and through Maungakiekie and increase more HOP outlets.
  3. Create additional value through social procurement for more environmental, social and cultural impact.
