Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board

Maungakiekie Subdivision
The Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of seven members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. Three members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I am proud Tongan woman who is passionate to advocate, church and union leader, mother and grandmother. I will use my experience and mana to deliver action. My community have supported me to become the person I am. I believe we are our best when we work collectively through local government we can deliver positive change. A vote for City Vision is a vote for community, a vote for climate action, and a vote for change.

About me

I will work hard for the community I represent and to sit on the table where i could deliver my community voices over to be heard by Auckland Council. To bring diversity and leadership skills to make decisions based on good relationships and connected within our community.

My priorities
  1. My first priority is housing. We all hear about housing issues.
  2. Community consultation in transport decisions/projects and be informed community.
  3. Climate change – strongly promote members to live zero-carbon lifestyles based around local.
