Why I'm standing

The Onekawa/Tamatea Ward is where I grew up and now live with my family. I'm passionate about our community, our environment and getting things done! I have enjoyed serving as your Councillor/Deputy Mayor this term and love being part of a team delivering Napier's vision. I believe Napier is the best city in NZ to live and raise a family.

About me

I am a born and raised Napierite and love our place. I worked in local government as a staff member for 12 years and now run a small business with my husband in Onekawa where we employ a small team. I have a Bachelor of Business Studies double-majoring in management/marketing from EIT. I have specialised in process and hold Independent Commissioner-Certification from MFE. I'm focused on accountability, transparency and robust decision making.

My priorities
  1. Build the city's sustainability, invest in stromwater treatment, stop discharging to the estuary.
  2. Make hard decisions. Council needs to make a decision on core community facilities like the pool now.
  3. Have open and transparent decisions. Not everyone will agree with Council, but all should see debate.
