Papatoetoe Subdivision
The Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of seven members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. Four members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I want to ensure Papatoetoe remains a resilient, inclusive, and safe community, for all who call Papatoetoe their home. I am putting myself forward as a young proposition to the Papatoetoe Local Board team. I believe I bring a host of innovative and progressive ideas that can help progress our community into the future years.

About me

My career path as an engineer combined with my local upbringing and my passion for youth engagement, I believe, puts me in good stead to be an effective local board member. I am seeking the confidence of my community to represent them as their local board member to help shape the future of Papatoetoe.

My priorities
  1. Youth engagement and development. Particularly in education, training and full-time employment.
  2. Better public transport service – frequent, accessible, reliable, safe and fare-free.
  3. Protecting our environment. Increase water quality, reduce litter, investing in green spaces.
