Mayor of Queenstown-Lakes District

The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Queenstown-Lakes District Council mayoral election.

Why I'm standing

I'm running because I care about the public and feel I can more accurately represent them.

About me

I will take the years of experience of being a member of the public to council. Years of valuable experience.

My priorities
  1. Be available to the public, talk to them and listen, and involve them in council decision making.
  2. Looking into and developing more sustainable and affordable building methods within the district.
  3. Helping people living in cars. Installing coin operated hot showers in all freedom camping sites.
