Queenstown-Whakatipu Ward
The Queenstown-Lakes District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 11 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). Four councillors will be elected from the Queenstown-Whakatipu ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I have lived in Queenstown for most of the last 25 years and see a number of unique challenges facing our district. I am offering my skills and training as a professional engineer and my time as a resident and ratepayer to contribute towards the solutions to these challenges.

About me

I have been involved with a number community organisations and am used to working with a diverse range of people. I am prepared to listen with an open mind to the concerns of our communities.

My priorities

  2. Consider input from across the Queenstown Lakes district.
  3. Arrive at council decisions that provide the best outcomes for our district.
