Why I'm standing
Lived in Rodney and been ratepayer for 40 years; my greatest attribute is my love for the Rodney District. MBA at Auckland University. Member of the NZ Institute of Directors. Chairperson for a Mental Health Trust. I have completed the IOD courses Audit and Risk Management, Companies Directors Course, Chairing the Board, Finance and Strategic Planning, Governance Risk Management, I have previously served as a councillor for six years on the Rodney District Council.
About me
As a candidate it's easy to say "what you will do", it's harder to say "what you have achieved." I have a proven history. Rodney and Warkworth need strong representation now more than ever before and I know that I am that person. We must ensure that we keep the "local" in local government and don't lose any further control to greater Auckland. I am a strong advocate to be Warkworth's voice.
My priorities
- Warkworth needs drinking water that doesn't taste of chemicals; rural community needs adequate water.
- Build a multipurpose recreation and sports facility, bike and skate park and community swimming pool.
- Comprehensive conservation strategy that's practical and not on the latest environmental tangent.
