Rodney Local Board

The Rodney Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of nine members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. One member will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.   • Set up more council investment into water supply, sewage plant upgrade, industrial development and town centre improvements.

    Connect the Greenways Plan to facilitate greater access to walking and cycling activities.

  • Support local businesses. We will lose all the traffic coming through our town when the motorway is made, we need to be ready for this change.

    Increase the tourism opportunities available in the area and make sure these are advertised and online. Promote the area as the place to go!

    Upgrade the local parks and recreation facilities. Centennial Park is very run down and needs to be organised better.
