Support ecological regeneration that provide healthy biodiverse ecosystems. Iwi/mana whenua partnerships and education within schools.
Increase waste minimisation by using green bins.
Work with EBOP to ensure nutrient run-off from farms that border our waterways is prevented. Improve effectiveness of waste water treatment.
Ensure council land that currently provides habitat for wildlife is protected. Work with EBOP, Bay of Plenty Regional Council and community groups on pest management.
Investigate new solutions for waste management currently employed successfully in other areas of NZ and globally.
Plant two trees for every Rotorua resident to create new homes for wildlife and reduce our carbon footprint.
