Why I'm standing

I have been asked a number of times over the years to stand for regional council. Now I feel I have enough experience in governance to do a good job and to make common sense decisions. I will also ask the right questions of management.

About me

I have lived in Taranaki all my life. I have been a dairy farmer for 36 years. I am a trustee for various not for profit organisations such as the Rotokare Scenic Reserve, the Central Taranaki Safe Trust and the Percy Thomson Gallery and Arboretum, and I have had governance training with the Fonterra Governance Development Course.

My priorities
  1. To keep our rural communities connected and sustainable.
  2. To ensure biodiversity remains a priority in Taranaki Regional Council.
  3. To ensure that Taranaki remains a sustainable option to live, work and play in..
