Why I'm standing

Turangi is the best place in the world to live, but we need our own identity and to have our infrastructure as well maintained as anywhere. We can't be forgotten about.

About me

I have been an active member of the Turangi-Tongariro Community Board for the last trimester chairing that group for much of that time. I have leadership skills and in particular am a good listener. I have had previous governance experience with school boards, and NZEI and currently also sit on the local conservation board. Not afraid to speak my mind but equally able to listen to reasoned debate.

My priorities
  1. Ensuring the ratepayer spend in Turangi is sufficient to keep the town looking great.
  2. Create a subsidised bus service to Taupō from Turangi and back.
  3. Ensuring ongoing clean water and responsible waste management.
