Te Awahou Foxton Community Board

The Te Awahou Foxton Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Horowhenua District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of seven members: five members elected by voters, and two councillors from the Horowhenua District Council.  This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Te Awahou Foxton Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I'm running for council to ensure our Māori voice and community voice have a seat at the table. To be heard and understood.

About me

I believe I'm a great communicator and connector. I'm easy to approach, have a korero and will do the mahi. "Nō konei ahau," "I'm as local as you get."

My priorities
  1. "Ma te Tangata" – for the people, everything must consider the effects we have on others.
  2. "Ma te Taiao" – for the Environment. This is what sustains us now and in the future!
  3. "Hei Oranga ma Tātou" – so we can all thrive together. We are all in this together!
