Why I'm standing

I have nine years experience on community board and really understand how council works. My background in facilitation and programme management has given me a great suite of skills to bring to the table. As a long term local I have connections with all of our communities from Whangapoua to 'Hotty' and am prepared to stand up and advocate strongly for all of you.

About me

I'm a great listener and an articulate speaker. I don't back down from a hearty debate when I'm representing something or someone I believe in. I bring a balanced outlook with an understanding of the importance of preserving our environment whilst supporting business interests and inevitable growth particularly in Whitianga.

My priorities
  1. To balance our rich cultural heritage and natural environs with tourism and business interests.
  2. Develop a strong climate change strategy which encompasses our Shoreline Management Plan.
  3. Work with Three Waters legislation to advocate for Entity B funding for our local infrastructure.
