Why I'm standing

I believe that I can be a strong advocate for our islands, to work for a thriving community that is inclusive, healthy and strong. We all need to work together to seek local solutions to local problems while working with our elected MP and government. We have seen some poor decision-making in terms of consents and we need to all work for a better habitat for our sea and land.

About me

I am an active environment advocate for Waiheke, was a member of Save Kennedy Point group and am now in Protect our Gulf, questioning ports dredging and dumping in the moana. I believe in locals making decisions on local issues. We are Waiheke, not Wai-city. For the past six years, I have run a Rescue Food Cafe, volunteered in community gardens and for Cycle Action Waiheke. Working for community is what I do best.

My priorities
  1. To work towards our islands being carbon neutral as soon as is possible.
  2. To have food resilience and healthy communities and to plan for more affordable homes for the future.
  3. To continue the restoration work in wetlands and improve the bio-diversity of the gulf.
