Why I'm standing

I love Hamilton and the Waikato region but I see threats on the horizon. I want to contribute to us as a community responding to climate change and living within nature's limits – restoring biodiversity, as well as building a fairer and more respectful society for everyone. I am trying to be the change I want to see in the world, to make it better.

About me

I am curious and love learning about people and issues, and solutions. I get on well with most people, value collaboration, and have a scientific and environmental background that suits regional council. Having learned all about local government in the past term, and the reforms coming up, I'd like to use that knowledge and experience to help shape what's coming up, and mentor others who are coming in new.

My priorities
  1. Achieve meaningful greenhouse gas emission reductions through a genuinely collaborative effort with community.
  2. Increase public transport options to reduce transport cost of living and increase road safety.
  3. Increase democratic community engagement with local government and its appeal to the community.
