Why I'm standing

I want to help better connect our communities with council and to help steer the future for this generation and the next.

About me

I've worked as a news publisher and volunteered as a community advocate and patroller, and seen local frustrations with council processes and projects first-hand. This has placed me in a position where I am often a two-way conduit of information between residents and council. Examples include the community calling for me to submit on regional transport plans for SH2, and against a liquor license for an unwanted tavern/TAB. We've lived in Western Bay of Plenty 15 years.

My priorities
  1. Sound fiscal policy around rates, borrowing, funding core services and infrastructure planning.
  2. Foster multi-agency cooperation to tackle youth disengagement, truancy and crime.
  3. Facilitate community-led development for the inter-generational and social well-being of communities.
