Why I'm standing

I believe that Whangārei is a city that has the potential to stand out, but unfortunately, it lacks guidance, a strong council to lead it forward and I know that I have a skill set to help do this.

About me

I don't have any political affiliations when it comes to council, I have been a member of two volunteer fire brigades in Whangārei and ended up as a station officer. I have been through scouting and was a leader and group leader, I work well with people to find solutions, I am honest, transparent, approachable and accountable which I believe are qualities our council needs.

My priorities
  1. Fix our roading as this is causing major problems and unneeded costs to our people of Whangārei.
  2. Reduce the rates intake for ratepayers and be accountable for spending and spend on needs not wants.
  3. Make rubbish cheaper to tip and green waste free as this would reduce fly-tipping and litter.
