To raise awareness of the harms and dangers of cannabis prohibition which creates a black market empowering gangs. Whose members have all suffered under this law going to jail, family breakdown and dislocation in society, the very reason they end up joining in with gangs. Ending prohibition will save hundreds of millions of dollars in police, courts, prison, probation and unemployment benefits. Tax savings may be diverted to areas of need health, education housing.
I have been self-employed for over 40 years, in the second-hand and accommodation business. I have developed good people communication skills, with empathy and understanding across a wide range of the community. 1.4 million people who voted yes in the cannabis referendum deserve representation. Our R18 cannabis policy will stop unjust criminalisation for cannabis use. All three sustainable cannabis industries, recreational, medicinal, and industrial, will boost the economy while saving the environment.
