I believe that the local voice has been lost in many electorates. I also believe that we no longer have a major left party and I am using this campaign to launch the 2033 Movement. A movement with a 10-year horizon to form a new left party and win the general election.
I have lived in the Dunedin electorate first as a student and then for the last ten years after returning to NZ from the US after 25 years. I am currently a Dunedin City councillor and chair of the Infrastructure Committee. I have a strong commitment to the Dunedin community and believe I can take my local government experience to central government where I hope to be an effective voice for the people of Dunedin.
