Why I'm standing

As a paediatric and emergency doctor I have seen too many people get sick from the environment they live in and inability to access healthcare where and when they need it. I want to see transformation in government to focus on improving the social determinants of health because it is far more effective and cheaper to keep people healthy than to continue to only treat disease.

About me

I was born in NZ and raised in small-town Warkworth by Chinese immigrant parents. I worked in many environments with people from different backgrounds and have always found a way to connect. I chose to become a doctor because I am passionate about helping people and making a better world for future generations. I will take a public health approach to government to tackle society's problems at the root cause instead of just treating consequences.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for world-class public healthcare for all.
  2. Reduce emissions and transition to a climate-resilient society.
  3. Tackle the social determinants of health with cross-party cooperation.
