Hamilton East electorate

Hamilton East covers the inner city and suburbs east of the Waikato River and runs from Flagstaff in the north to Riverlea in the south. The seat is currently held by Labour's Jamie Strange, who won comfortably with a margin of 2,973. Strange is not standing again in 2023. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Hamilton East – 49% to National's 27%. Together with its sister seat Hamilton West the electorate is historically considered a bellwether with the winning party going on to form a government.

We truly have the most panoramic majestic comparable to anywhere in the world and needs to be protected.

About me

I am proud to say New Zealand Aotearoa, Waikato, Hamilton Kirikiriroa is my home and has been my whole life. I am a daughter, mother, and gran. Like every woman I want to protect and future proof NZ for our whānau. I am about people. I have been a hairdresser, business owner for most of my career and have taught at tertiary level everything in my past has led me to this decision.

My priorities
  1. Support Community Centre programs to unite all cultures for conversation, understanding and sharing.
  2. Advocate for more public interest participation and easier voting rights in local councils decisions.
  3. Look into council projects spending, using local contractors and quality control measures.
