Northland electorate

Northland is currently held by Labour's Willow-Jean Prime, who won by a narrow margin of 163 – one of the smallest margins in the country. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Northland – 44% to National's 27%. Since the seat was established in 1996, it has been mainly held by National MPs, except for 2015 to 2017 when Winston Peters won the seat at a by-election, and 2020 when Labour won.

Why I'm standing

I think the smaller parties need more representation and should be taken more seriously. Especially when the 2020 cannabis referendum was such a botch up. I'm here as a voice for the 1.4 million voters that voted yes for a regulated cannabis market and to have a sustainable future via the cannabis/hemp industries. To show a prosperous future is there and the cannabis pie is big enough for all to have a slice. Vote wisely.

About me

I would make a good representative for my electorate as I'm not scared to ask the questions and get the conversation started. Sitting MPs need to be more transparent and held more accountable for their actions. Parliament needs to change. Enough of the constant moaning, bickering and name calling, this needs to stop and get back to business. Having owned and operated a successful moving company I believe I have the good leadership skills and qualities needed.

My priorities
  1. Legalise all cannabis use whether it be recreational, medicinal, spiritual or industrial.
  2. Release all who are incarcerated because of the injustices of current laws surrounding cannabis.
  3. Expunge cannabis convictions dished out since the early 70's. To fully support coalition partners.
