Ōhāriu electorate

Ōhāriu covers the western western suburbs of Wellington, including Johnsonville, Newlands, Ngaio, Crofton Downs, Khandallah, Wadestown and parts of Tawa. The seat is currently held by Labour's Greg O'Connor, who won safely with a margin of 11,961. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Ōhāriu – 51% to National's 22%. From 1984 until 2017 the area was represented by Peter Dunne, a former Labour MP, independent, and most recently the leader of the United Future Party.
