Why I'm standing
I was raised by a single mum on the benefit in a state house in south Timaru with my brother and sister, and I know what it's like to struggle in life sometimes. But my Mum made sure we always went to school, had food in our bellies and clothes on our backs. That's what I want for every kiwi kid, and it's why I'm in politics. Equal opportunity for all.
About me
I understand what it's like to grow up without. I don't care whether you're rich or poor, old or young, rural or urban, left or right, or conservative or liberal, I'll always represent you as your local advocate in Parliament. I have experience as a public lawyer and working in parliament advocating for people and drafting laws to make every day New Zealanders' lives better and more prosperous.
My priorities
- Grow our local economy and reduce the cost of living by reducing red tape and providing tax relief.
- Improve our resiliency and infrastructure by starting the new Ashburton Bridge in our first term.
- Improve education outcomes by focusing on the basics so our children can get ahead and compete.
