Why I'm standing

My number one reason: reversing the cuts being made to the new Dunedin Hospital. Number two, restoring suburban rail to Mosgiel, electrified. Number three, enabling assisted dying in the case of advanced dementia.

About me

Number one, I have worked in the pubic hospital service most of my career, and can see the issues clearly. Number two, I understand railways, albeit as a non-professional; and I am concerned about climate change. Number three, I know what advanced dementia looks like, as do many in society; and many, myself included, would wish to avoid that "fate worse than death".

My priorities
  1. Reverse all the cuts that have been made to the new Dunedin hospital.
  2. Restore suburban rail to Mosgiel, but, with climate change in mind, with electric trains.
  3. Enable the choice of assisted dying, per an advance directive, in the specific case of dementia.
