Why I'm standing
New Zealanders are increasingly depressed and disillusioned with their representation. The increasing struggle to get started, or ahead, compounds this. Therefore, I want to restore their voice to parliament through binding referendums – reviving their freedom of speech and common sense. By building a listening-working relationship with them and our coalition partners, I can create a neutral ground for all ideas and perspectives to be reasonably discussed, leading to finding the best solutions to issues.
About me
Most of my multi-vocational working life has revolved around building and maintaining working relationships and interacting with different people. Having worked diligently through the experiences of, being a job seeker beneficiary, being self-employed, getting a BA and PGD in social policy, almost six years of marriage, and overcoming the hurdles towards homeownership, I am committed to strengthening families and improving job and social mobility in a country that values life, freedom and local community.
My priorities
- Assist in restoring local democracy while ensuring the necessary expertise to move forward is retained.
- Assist the process of getting the support to reconstruct H29 to begin reviving the local economy.
- Advocate to free up land and quicken the consent process to increase the housing supply.
