Why I'm standing
I am unhappy with the direction the country is headed and in the quality of representation that this government offers. The government is dominated by people who have no experience outside politics and have little to no understanding of the industries, businesses, communities or people they are supposed to represent. NZ deserves better and needs pragmatic decision makers who have the ability to think critically not ideologically.
About me
I have deep roots in my electorate, my family have farmed for well over 130 years in our district. I have a lot of experience in advocacy at local, regional and national levels. I have a range of experience that I feel is missing in central government. I have started and ran successful small businesses both here and in Australia, farmed sheep, beef and crops on our property.
My priorities
- Address the drivers of the cost of living crisis - wasteful spending and excessive regulation.
- Improve healthcare for kiwis.
- Improve educational outcomes for our children.
