Waitaki electorate

Waitaki is currently held by National's Jacqui Dean, who won comfortably with a margin of 3,281. Dean is not standing again in 2023. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Waitaki – 44% to National's 31%. First established for the 1871 election, Waitaki has been abolished and re-established several times. It is a safe National seat and has been held by Jacqui Dean since 2008.

I am a fifth generation kiwi who is passionate about this country, and the land.

About me

Born on a dairy farm, I'm aware of how important farming is to our country.

My priorities
  1. Double the number of wetlands by 2050, and continue to fund jobs for nature.
  2. Incentivise farmers for regenerative farming to help us meet our 2030 goal of halving emissions.
  3. Guarantee a minimum income of $385 per week per person will help us end poverty.
