Why I'm standing

I'm standing for the National Party because I believe that hard working kiwis should have the opportunity to get ahead in life. What I'm hearing from people in my electorate is that they are working hard, but they aren't any better off. They're going backwards under this Labour government.

About me

I grew up in a working class family in Hornby. My parents instilled in me the importance of a good education, the value of a hard day's work, personal responsibility and the equal opportunity for every person to succeed. These values have served me well in my life. I'm a proud mother of four children, chartered accountant, qualified teacher, businesswoman, community volunteer. I'm not a career politician. Parliament needs more representatives with real-life work experience.

My priorities
  1. Rebuild the economy to reduce the cost of living. Stop wasteful spending, tax relief for kiwis.
  2. Restore law and order in Wigram. Consequences for offending, back police, combat youth offenders.
  3. Improve healthcare by redirecting funding to the frontline by bolstering doctors, nurses, midwives
